I wanted avocado toast, but couldn’t decide how to top. Both toasts have almost the exact same ingredients, however they were built completely differently. Which one is your favourite?⁣

I wanted avocado toast, but couldn’t decide how to top. Both toasts have almost the exact same ingredients, however they were built completely differently. Which one is your favourite?⁣

Serves 1 | DF RSF
Ingredients:⁣
2 slices sourdough ⁣
1 avocado⁣
1 egg⁣
1 tsp garlic purée ⁣
Dill⁣
Dukkah ⁣
Hummus⁣
Lemon⁣
Salt & pepper⁣


⁣Method:⁣
1. Boil a pot of water, add in a pinch of salt and an egg
2. Cook for 9 1/2 minutes (or however you prefer) and remove
3. Place into an ice bath (small bowl of iced water)
⁣4. Cut the avocado, peel off the skin and slice one half
5. Toast the sourdough, smear both with a touch of the garlic
6. Add hummus to once slice and on that same one top with the sliced avocado half
⁣7. Place the other half of the avocado with a touch of hummus, lemon juice, dill and garlic in a bowl and smash with a fork until creamy
8. Smear on the other piece of toast
⁣9. Remove the boiled egg from the ice bowl and peel and slice
10. Place the egg on the smashed avocado
11. Drizzle both toasts with lemon juice, sprinkle with dill, dukkah, salt and pepper. Enjoy!
