It’s been raining for the past three days and has made me feel home sick for London. It’s funny living in Queensland, everyone loves it when it rains! ⁣
⁣
It can feel so rare at times, so when it’s a weekend and it’s pouring outside there’s no better feeling than snuggling up watching movies all day. ⁣
⁣
It also makes me crave indulgent foods, so this cookies and cream smoothie bowl was the perfect accompaniment 😍⁣
⁣
Serves 2 V DF GF RSF⁣
Ingredients:⁣
3 frozen bananas⁣
Handful ice cubes⁣
1 tbsp vanilla protein powder⁣
1 tsp vanilla extract ⁣
1 tbsp hemp seeds⁣
Pinch himalayan sea salt⁣
1 tbsp maple syrup⁣
Splash almond milk⁣
1 chocolate cookie (homemade)⁣
⁣
Toppings:⁣
Chocolate cookie (homemade)⁣
Cacao nibs ⁣
Coconut yoghurt⁣
Coconut flakes⁣
Banana ⁣
⁣
Method:⁣
Add smoothie ingredients to the blender and blend until just combined and creamy. Add the cookie and blend again. Serve into a bowl and add toppings. ⁣
⁣
Tips: ⁣
Use a high speed blender/ food processor. If it seems a bit empty in your jug (this recipe is based off a vitamix), add more banana. ⁣
⁣
If you want your smoothie bowl to stay frozen longer, try use a plastic style bowl, I like to place mine in the freezer just before making my smoothies! ⁣
⁣
Also have all your toppings and fruit already chopped and ready to assemble beforehand, you basically want to pour it out and go!
