Nutella Smoothie Bowl

When I lived at home in my late teens I lived in our granny flat & had my own little kitchenette. I would write on little post-it notes all throughout my kitchen of little recipe adjustments to my smoothies. All to get the perfect flavour combinations, Nutella being my first, which I’ve now made more times than I can count.

Indulge in the irresistible Nutella Smoothie Bowl, a recipe that holds a special place in my heart. This delightful blend of frozen bananas, hazelnut butter, cacao, and more create a creamy and indulgent smoothie that will satisfy your cravings. Top it off with cacao nibs, granola, and strawberries for an extra touch of deliciousness. Get ready to savor every spoonful of this vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free, and refined sugar-free delight.

Serves 2 | V GF DF RSF
Vegan, Gluten Free, Dairy Free, Refined Sugar-Free
Ingredients:

  • 2 1/2 frozen bananas
  • Handful of ice
  • 1/2 tbsp hazelnut butter
  • 1/2 tbsp peanut butter
  • 2 tsp cacao
  • 1/3 cup almond milk
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup
  • Pinch of sea salt

Toppings:

  • Cacao nibs
  • Granola
  • Strawberries

Method:

  1. In a blender, combine the frozen bananas, ice, hazelnut butter, peanut butter, cacao, almond milk, maple syrup, and a pinch of sea salt.
  2. Blend the ingredients together until just combined and creamy, ensuring not to over-blend.
  3. Pour the smoothie mixture into bowls, dividing it evenly between two servings.
  4. Add your desired toppings, such as cacao nibs, granola, and fresh strawberries.
  5. Serve immediately and enjoy!
