Chai Latte Porridge⁣

Chai and porridge have always been made for each other and it just took us a little longer to work it out. Providing you all the warm feelings, this bowl may become your new best friend.

Serves 2 RSF⁣
Ingredients:⁣
Porridge:⁣
1/3 cup steel cut oats⁣
1/3 cup rolled oats ⁣
2/3 cup soy milk⁣
1 cup water ⁣
1 chai tea bag⁣
1 tsp vanilla extract ⁣
⁣
Spiced poached pear:⁣
1 pear⁣
1/2 tsp turmeric powder⁣
1/2 tsp cinnamon⁣
1/2 tsp ginger powder ⁣
Pinch nutmeg⁣
⁣
Toppings:⁣
Greek yoghurt ⁣
Coconut sugar⁣
⁣
Method:⁣
1. Add the oats, tea bag, milk, water together. Remove the tea bag after 5 minutes
2. Overall cook for a minimum of 15 mins until all the liquid is absorbed
3. In a separate pot, peal the pear and add to pot with boiling water
4. Add the spices and cook for 5 – 10 minutes until soft. Take out and slice
5. Test the oats, wait until they are creamy and soft. If not, add a little more water
6. When the oats are just starting to form again, serve into a bowl and add toppings. Enjoy!
