Egg Nog Porridge

Christmas for breakfast. Creamy, cosy and full of flavour. This will a regular this month.

Serves 1 | V DF RSF

Ingredients:
Porridge:
1/3 cup rolled oats
1 cup oat milk
1 cup water 
1 tsp vanilla bean extract
1 tbsp cashew butter
1/2 tsp nutmeg
Pinch cinnamon

Cashew cream:
2 tbsp vanilla cashew butter
Boiling water

Toppings:
• Almonds
• Bananas
Maple Syrup
Coconut yoghurt

Method:

  1. Add all the porridge ingredients together in a pot. 
  2. Cook for a min of 20 mins, slowly add water to the oats over the cooking time.
  3. Test the oats, wait until they are soft, when the oats are just starting to form again, serve into a bowl. 
  4. Add on toppings and enjoy!
