Let me take you back to my very first encounter with açai bowls. It was when I was 18, and I decided to try an açai bowl from a local fruit shop. It wasn’t fancy but immediately fell in love with something that could pass as gelato for breakfast. And so, my obsession with açai bowls began.

My initial attempts at making açai bowls involved a simple, inexpensive food chopper, but as my passion grew, I upgraded to a second-hand ninja blender. However, my relentless cravings for açai and smoothie bowls eventually led me to invest in a Vitamix, after burning out the motor of my previous blender.

Today, I present to you a truly exceptional bowl—the Salted Caramel Açai Bowl. This masterpiece combines the richness of a salted caramel açai base with the delicate sweetness of soft figs. Prepare yourself for an indulgent experience fit for a Monday morning treat.

Vegan, Dairy Free, Gluten Free, Refined Sugar-Free

Ingredients:

  • 1 açai packet
  • 1 frozen banana
  • Splash of almond milk
  • 1/2 tbsp cashew butter
  • 2 medjool dates
  • Pinch of cinnamon
  • Pinch of sea salt flakes

Toppings:

  • Fresh figs
  • Coconut yogurt
  • Cacao nibs
  • Drizzle of caramel
  • Sliced banana
  • Almonds
  • Granola

Method:

  1. In a blender, combine the açai packet, frozen banana, almond milk, cashew butter, medjool dates, cinnamon, and sea salt flakes. Blend until the ingredients are well combined and the mixture is creamy.
