My first experience with smoothie bowls
was an açai bowl I had from a fruit shop when I was 18. It wasn’t fancy, but immediately fell in love with something that could pass as gelato for breakfast. From there my açai obsession began.

My first attempt at making them was with a cheap little food chopper, when progressed to a 2nd hand ninja blender. After I burned out the motor from one too many açai and smoothie bowls I eventually bought my Vitamix.

This bowl was everything! Sweet, soft figs on top of an indulgent salted caramel açai base. A fancy bowl for your Monday.

Serves 1 | V DF GF RSF
Ingredients:
1 açai packet
1 frozen banana

1/2 tbsp cashew butter
2 medjool dates
Pinch cinnamon
Pinch sea salt flakes

Fig
Coconut yoghurt

Caramel
Banana
Almonds
Granola

Method:
1. Blend together açai ingredients until just combined and creamy
2. Pour into bowls
3. Add toppings and enjoy!
